Ramechhap, June 2 :

People wishing to leave for Kathmandu from Manthali, the district headquarters of Ramechhap, returned home today as they could not find any vehicle. Maoist activists had taken all the vehicles under their control yesterday for ferrying their cadres and supporters for today’s mass meet in Kathmandu.

According to local bus entrepreneurs, the Maoists captured the buses of Araniko Yatayat Committee bearing registration numbers Ba 1 Kha 6397, Ba 1 Kha 6321, Na 2 Kha 1991, Ba 1 Kha 6908.

The buses were immediately re-routed to Kathmandu.

A bus bearing registration number Ba 1 Kha 6055 was released on the condition that it will leave for Kathmandu today.
