People throng to see the ‘shortest male’ in Pokhara
Pokhara, March 11:
A number of people gathered to see Khagendra Thapa Magar who is believed to be the shortest male in the world in Pokhara today. Many viewers consider him to be the “incarnation of god.”
Min Bahadur Rana, who is helping to keep Khagendra in exhibition, said almost elderly people bow their heads and offer flowers, believing him to be the incarnation of god.
“Rain started to fall after his arrival in Pokhara, so he is God,” said 70-year-old Chandra Kala Sharma.
Similarly, Khagendra’a father Rup Bahadur said since many developmental activities were introduced in the village after his birth, the villages also consider his son as a divine figure.
About 50,000 people came to visit Khagendra today alone and the an amount of Rs 2,700 was collected as donation.
Khagendra would be kept on exhibition for a week there. The amount collected from the exhibition would be utilised for treatment and health check up of Khagendra. Fourteen-year-old Khagendra’s height is 20 inches and his weight is four kgs.
