People's rights would be snatched away if democracy not safeguarded, says Deuba

BAJURA: Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba on Saturday said that the left alliance cannot safeguard the people's rights.

Addressing an election meeting of the Nepali Congress in Bajura today, Deuba said, "People's rights would vanish if democracy was not safeguarded. So, NC should be made victorious to safeguard democracy."

Saying that NC was the party to safeguard democracy, he urged all to cast vote for the NC candidates in the elections to the House of Representatives and State Assemblies. He also pledged to work for the development of the far west after his election to the post of PM again.

He shared that Seti Highway and Karnali Corridor were forwarded during the tenure of Prime Minister Deuba and the then PM Sushil Koirala.
