GAIGHAT: One person has been arrested with an illegal firearm in Rampur of Udayapur district on Wednesday.

According to Superintendent of Police Bir Bahadur Budha Magar of Udayapur District Police Office, the accused identified as Manoj Khadka (19) was arrested from Saatpatre, Belaka Municipality-3 at around 9:30 pm. A pistol and a round of bullets were seized from his possession.

Khadka was taken under custody after a case was filed against him for threatening the assistant driver of the tractor (Sa 1 Ta 7440) en route to Rampur from Saatpatre.

Police are searching for another person who was with Khadka at the time of the incident. Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway.
