Phoksingkot to be developed into religious tourist site

POKHARA: Phoksingkot based in Nirmalpokhari of Kaski is to be developed into a religious tourist destination.

The Phoksingkot folks have been geared up for developing physical infrastructure in the historic site. A view tower is to be constructed here to catch to the scenic views of the Machhapuchhre, Annapurna and Dhaulagiri peaks, and Pokhara, a town rich in natural beauty.

The Phoksingkot development project includes construction of a temple of the Hindu Goddess Mahakali. The project implementation is estimated to cost Rs 13.5 million, according to the Chair of Phoksingkot Kalika Temple and View Tower Construction Committee Prof Dr Ramchandra Pokhrel.
