DAMAK: A motorcyclist died after being hit by a pick-up van in Damak of Jhapa district on Saturday night.

Jaya Kumar Rai (33) from Banjho-33, Ilam district was riding on his two-wheeler (Ko 5 Pa 3702) when the van (Me 1 Ja  4044) hit him, in Damak-3 of Jhapa yesterday.

Seriously injured in the accident, Rai was taken to the nearby Lifeline Hospital, where he breathed his last, police said.

Meanwhile, the Damak Area Police Office impounded the vehicle and arrested its driver for further investigation.
