KATHMANDU: A boy died after the motorcycle he was travelling on overturned in Devchuli Municipality-11 of Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East) on Tuesday.

Police have identified the deceased as Padam Somai (12) of Kirtipur in Katmandu.

According to police, Somai was riding pillion on the motorcycle (Na 27 Pa 9319) when it overturned at 6:30 pm yesterday, critically injuring him.

Injured Somai was rushed to the District Hospital in Bharatpur, Chitwan where he breathed his last during the course of treatment, informed police.

Meanwhile, police have detained the motorcyclist who was unharmed in the incident for further investigation, Temporary Police Post, Daldale said.
