PLA soldiers of Chulachuli camp start getting salary

Soldiers of the PLA’s first division cantonment located in Ilam district’s Chulachuli have started receiving their salary. Their salary was released eight months after they entered the camp.
Damak chief of the camp management office Ganesh Adhikari said the government has released Rs 96,63,000 for the PLA soldiers of the first division cantonment in Chulachuli and sub-camps. “After completing all procedures, the amount was released this week. Some 3,221 PLA soldiers of the first division and three sub-camps have received salary at the rate of Rs 3,000 a month.”
Meanwhile, many PLA soldiers in the Chulachuli camp and sub-camps refused to accept salary. They have set up a fund to help families of those killed in the conflict, a source said.
