BIRATNAGAR: Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration Lalbabu Pandit has said those government employees seeking voluntary retirement instead of joining the adjustment process will be deputed to offices easily accessible from their homes.

Talking to media persons at Biratnagar Airport today, he said, “The plan of voluntary retirement has been suspended for the time being as their deputation to three levels is the prime need of the hour.”

He called on all employees to go to their assigned work stations and serve the people. “Campaign for nation's economic prosperity would be successful only with the support of competent and experienced employees.”

People at the local level have been facing problems due to lack of sufficient number of employees. The government is not in mood to give voluntary retirement to the experienced human resources.

Among employees who had applied for voluntary retirement, 1,250 have already been pensioned off, according to the Minister.
