PM assures to respect people's votes
BHADRAPUR: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has given assurances that people's votes would be respected.
Inaugurating a concrete bridge constructed over the Kamal rivulet here today, Prime Minister Oli said that arrangements of food and shelter would be made for people as well as reconstruction of the damaged bridges would be carried out.
The bridge links Dharampur and Panchgachhi VDCs in Jhapa Constituency.
Stating that Rs 15 million has been allocated this year to control floods at Kamal rivulet under the People's Embankment Programme, he said that the government had a plan to undertake the country's development in a different way by modernising agriculture.
The Prime Minister also expressed the commitment to blacktop all gravelled roads.
The 126.2 –metre long and seven-metre wide bridge was constructed at a cost of Rs 489.6 million.
