PM to donate first salary to Dhurmus Suntali Foundation
KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has announced to donate the salary of his first month in office to the Dhurmus Suntali Foundation, which has built houses for those affected by the 2015 earthquakes in Kavrepalanchok and Sindhupalchok districts.
In a meeting with Sitaram Kattel (Dhurmus) and Kunjana Ghimire (Suntali) at the PM's official residence in Baluwatar today, Prime Minister Dahal appreciated their contribution in the post-earthquake relief and reconstruction, and expressed his readiness to help them further.
"Your campaign to provide relief during humanitarian crisis after the earthquake is laudable. This has spread positive message across the country and this is developing as a culture. I am together with you in this campaign," Prime Minister Dahal told the comedian couple, according to a statement issued by the Prime Minister's Secretariat.
