Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has clarified that action against those guilty of the Tikapur massacre will be taken according to the law.

Responding to queries from lawmakers during today's meeting of the House of Representatives, Prime Minister Dahal acknowledged the irreparable loss of lives and property in the Tikapur massacre. He explained that any decision on granting amnesty to those involved would strictly adhere to legal provisions.

Emphasizing the government's commitment to identifying economically and socially marginalized communities, including the Tharu community, and ensuring their rights through economic and social empowerment, the PM stressed ongoing government initiatives. These include periodic plans, annual policies, programs, and budget allocations.

Prime Minister Dahal underscored the government's dedication to maintaining budgetary consistency through extensive discussions with relevant stakeholders on policy matters.

He also highlighted the government's goal of transforming the education sector nationwide, particularly focusing on enhancing educational quality in the Madhes Province. Special programs such as scholarships and meal provisions are currently being implemented to improve educational access for marginalized communities.

Regarding infrastructure development, PM Dahal mentioned that there are no issues with payments to construction entrepreneurs. He noted ongoing efforts towards the long-term operation of Pokhara International Airport, emphasizing coordination to accommodate demands from international air service providers for discounts and concessions.

Furthermore, PM Dahal informed about the formation of a working committee tasked with providing suggestions for the long-term operation and construction of three international airports, including Pokhara, under public-private partnership models.
