PM Deuba inspects flood-hit areas in Sunsari

ITAHARI: A team under the leadership of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba visited Sunsari on Monday afternoon to take stock of the situation in the flood affected areas.

The team reached the Nepal Army Eastern Division Headquarters and inquired about the loss of lives and physical property caused by flood in the area and directed the Army personnel and local administration to help the affected people.

The team also asked the local administration not to leave any stone unturned to provide emergency support to all flood-affected families.

The team visited Itahari to enquire about the condition of flood victims and ongoing task for relief distribution, emergency security management and rehabilitation of the victims.

PM Deuba reached the incident site to inquire about the loss details and adopt an effective measure to reach the reliefs to the victims.

The high level team has reached the Itahari Division of the NA after inspecting the floods affected area via helicopter.

The team comprises of Defence Minister Bhimsen Das Pradhan, Home Minister Janardan Sharma and other high-level officials.

Meabwhile, Deputy Prime Minister Bijay Gachchhadar, Minister for Finance Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, Minister for Commerce Min Bishwakarma and Minister for Culture Jitendra Dev lead team is also scheduled to reach at the district headquarters Inaruwa to inspect the flood affected area this evening.

Gachchhadar led team would also interact with government officials regarding the disaster loss and adopting the measures to reach the reliefs to the victims.
