PM Deuba set to address election rallies in Province 2

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is all set to address election rallies in province number 2 for the upcoming third phase of local level elections on September 18.

Issuing a press statement today, Nepali Congress Central Office in Sanepa announced PM upcoming programmes in province number 2.

PM Deuba will begin his campaign by addressing election rally from Rajbiraj, district headquarters of Saptari, at around 1:00 pm on Tuesday before heading to Zero Mile in Siraha district. He is scheduled to stay in Janakpur on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, PM Deuba will head to Janakpur of Dhanusha district will address election rally at around 1pm and heads to Bardibas of Mohattari district later in the afternoon, as stated in the statement.

Nepali Cogress President Sher Bahadur Deuba will stay in one of the three locations, Bardibar, Gaur, Chadranighapur, as confirmation is yet to be made.

On Thursday, PM Deuba will head to Malangwa of Sarlahi district to address mass rally around 1pm and heads to Gaur later in the evening. PM will stay in Birgunj that night.

Before, returning to Kathmandu on Friday, PM will address elections rallies in Kalaiya of Bara district and Birgunj in Parsa district later on the day.

The third phase of local level elections in eight districts of province number 2 is slated for September 18.

As per the constitutional requirement, Nepal should hold all its elections by January 21. The provincial and parliamentary elections are scheduled on November 26 and December 7 respectively.

Meanwhile, Election Commission said the preparations are underway.
