PM, MPs take oath of office
Kathmandu, July 4:
Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala, members of the council of ministers, the chief secretary and secretaries today took the oath of the office as per the House of Representatives (HoR) Regulation.
Koirala signed the oath-letter in the Shahid Gangalal National Heart Centre at Banshbari, where he was admitted yesterday.
Deputy Prime Ministers KP Sharma Oli and Amik Sherchan, nine other ministers, seven state ministers and chief secretary Mukunda Sharma Poudel took the oath of office and secrecy in the House. Four members of the National Assembly also took the oath today. Speaker Subash Chandra Nemwang administered the oath to the MPs. Former PM and lawmaker Krishna Prasad Bhattarai also signed the oath-letter as he also could not attend the parliament due to ill-health.
