PM Oli meets UN Secretary-General
KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli today held a bilateral meeting with Secretary-General of the United Nations António Guterres, in New York.
During the meeting, the two leaders discussed various aspects of assistance between Nepal and the UN, said a statement issued by the Permanent Mission of Nepal to the UN. Also discussed at the meeting was the campaign to establish peace and Nepal's role in it.
On the occasion, Secretary-General Guterres reiterated the pledge to continue UN assistance to Nepal for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). He also acknowledged Nepal's exemplary work in establishing democracy in a peaceful way.
Likewise, PM Oli extended gratitude to the UN for its support and assistance in Nepal's development.
The Prime Minister is currently leading the Nepali delegation at the 73rd United Nations General Assembly being held in New York.
