PM Oli pays tribute to Mahatma Gandhi

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has visited the mausoleum of Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat and paid his tribute to India's father of the nation.

PM Oli laid a wreath at the Mahatma Gandhi memorial and also signed a visitors' book kept there, where he wrote that he was humbled to be at the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi, who was not only India's immortal son but also a torchbearer for the entire humanity.

PM Oli further expressed that Gandhi taught the great values of love, truth and non-violence by being the noble epitome of those highest human virtues.

Quoting Gandhi's words 'be the change you wish to see in the world', PM Oli wrote that Mahatma Gandhi not only said these words but lived by them, and that he proved to the world the power of moral strength, showing the highest form of ethics and compassion.

PM Oli concluded the note by writing, "My heartfelt tributes to Bapu Ji."

Official bilateral talks between the government delegations of both countries are to be held in the presence of Prime Minister Oli and his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi today itself.
