PM sends message of condolence to New Zealand counterpart

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has sent a message of condolence to Jacinda Ardern, Prime Minister of New Zealand, on the loss of innocent lives in mass shootings on Friday at mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand.

In his message, Prime Minister Oli has strongly condemned the heinous act of terrorism and stated that killing innocent people was an affront to humanity, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press statement today.

Saying that such brutal and inhuman acts cannot be justified under any circumstances, the Prime Minister has stated that terrorism in any form and manifestation needs to be dealt resolutely.

He further extended deepest condolences and sympathies to the Government and people of New Zealand as well as to the bereaved families of the victims and wished for the speedy recovery of those injured.
