‘PM’s visit to mend Nepal-India ties’
Jhapa, February 14
Former speaker and CPN-UML Standing Committee member Subas Nembang today said that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s upcoming India visit will help to ease the strain seen in Nepal-India relations.
Speaking at a press meet organised by Press Chautari Ilam, in the district, Nembang said, “Prime Minister Oli’s upcoming visit will help to dispel the misunderstanding, bitterness and distrust seen between the two countries.”
Stating that normalcy had returned to the country after the blockade at the Nepal-India border entry points was lifted, Nembang said, “The earthquake hit the country. The blockade was imposed and lifted, but we failed to face these challenges. Now, we shall have to prepare to tackle such challenges in the days ahead,” Nembang added.
Nembang held that statute should be amended to accommodate discontentments and disagreements.
