Poetry Day marked
Kathmandu, March 21:
The International Poetry Day was celebrated today.
With the aim of arousing the people’s interests in poetry, the UNESCO began celebrating the Poetry Day in 1999, litterateur Prakash Sayami said. With the aim of marking the poetry day, Shubharanbha, the Musical Journey, organised a programme.
Poems of Laxmi Prasad Devkota and Gopal Prasad Rimal were sung at the programme.
Some German nationals recited poems in Nepali as well, founder of the journey, Sayami, said.
