Pokhara Mayor GC rues excavator incident
POKHARA: Pokhara city Mayor Mann Bahadur GC has expressed regret over the excavator accident caused by his lack of technical expertise on operating an excavator which injured five persons including two journalists.
Issuing a statement today, the mayor took moral responsibility of the incident and prayed for early recovery of those injured.
The municipality has been in direct touch with the injured and it will bear all treatment costs, the statement reads.
Moreover, the Mayor admitted that precautionary measures were not adopted during the inauguration while stating that the poor management resulted in the accident.
“An unimaginable incident has occurred,” the mayor said, “The incident has taught a lesson and I request city denizens to understand the same.”
