KATHMANDU: A person died and another sustained injuries after the motorcycle they were riding on met with an accident in Pokhara of Kaski district on Wednesday evening.

The deceased has been identified as Umesh Poudel (23) of Lekhphant of Parbat district.

According to police, the incident occurred when the motorcycle (Ga 11 Pa  6140) lost its control after being hit by an unidentified micro bus and collided with a trailer (Na 1 Ka 3910) at Shiva Chok at 5:00 pm yesterday.

The critically injured were rushed to the local Annapurna Hospital, where Poudel breathed his last during the course of treatment, informed police.

The pillion rider, whose identity is yet to be ascertained, is undergoing treatment in the same hospital.

Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway and search is on for the absconding micro bus driver, said police.
