CHITWAN: General Secretary of CPN-UML Ishwor Pokharel today ruled out the possibility of forming a new government led by the Unified CPN (Maoist).

Inaugurating the seventh district assembly of CPN-UML, Chitwan, he said that if the Unified (Maoist) wanted to lead the new government, the party should come forward forgetting all past differences. Calling on the Maoists to join the present government, he said there was no alternative to consensus among political parties to draft the new constitution. He also said the UML has a responsibility to take the NC into confidence.
