SALYAN: Shanker Pokharel, Minister for Information and Communication said that the government is determined to promulgate the constitution in the stipulated time on Monday morning.

He said that if the parties are serious about their commitment to the promise they had made to the public earlier then drafting the constitution within May 28 is must.

He opined that if the Maoists show some flexibility, the integration of the army is not a big deal. He added that that the government was also consulting with all the parties regarding this matter.

Pokharel is in Salyan to inaugurate the Radio Gambesi FM at Kapurkot, some 25 kilometres from the district headquarters, Khalanga.

Inaugurating the radio station he said that the government had adopted a liberal policy for the development of the media sector, adding that the government had also decided to award public welfare advertisements to radios as well.
