Four persons, including two minors, sexually assaulted a 12-year-old girl in Jitpursimara Sub-Metropolitan City-1 of Bara district on Friday.
According to police, the girl was lured to one of the rapist's residence by another assailant on Friday evening, where they raped her. Locals came to know about the incident and apprehended the perpetrators at 4:30 p.m.
Following the same, the perpetrators were turned over to police at about 5 pm. According to locals, two of the arrestees are 16-year-old boys.
All four have been detained and an investigation into the case has been launched, informed Inspector Raj Kishor Sah, of Simara Area Police Office.
Meanwhile, the minor has had a health checkup at the local health facility, and her condition is stable, Inspector Sah added.
