KATHMANDU, MAY 15
Police in Morang arrested an individual and confiscated 250 kilograms of marijuana in Biratnagar Metropolitan City-17 on Tuesday night.
The arrested individual has been identified as an 18-year-old resident of Sahidbhumi Rural Municipality-3 in Dhankuta.
Acting on a tip-off that a stash of marijuana was being unloaded from a pickup van, a joint team from the Area Police Office Rani and the District Police Office, Morang, conducted a raid on the pickup van (Pr 1-02-02 Cha 6331) on ICP Road. After the inspection, police discovered the substantial quality of marijuana and arrested the driver.
Further investigation into the case is currently underway, informed police.
