NEPALGUNJ, JULY 11

Police arrested three people with the skin of red panda and bear bile from a guest house at Nepalgunj sub-metropolis in Banke today.

Police made public the arrested persons at a press meet organised in Banke District Police Office today.

A police team deployed from Lumbini Police Province Office, Dang, and Banke District Police Office, arrested the smugglers with the illegal materials.

The arrested have been identified as Bhakta Bahadur Pun, 49, and Keshab Pun, 41, of Ghorai sub-metropolis and Robin Budha, 21, of Shantinagar Rural Municipality.

Police said the team held the smugglers at 9:00pm yesterday.

The police team seized one piece of red panda skin and bear bile from the arrested.

They will be fined Rs one million and five to 15 years of jail term or both.
