RAUTAHAT, MAY 09
Police have confiscated illegally stored oxygen cylinders in the district.
On Saturday evening, police handed over the seized oxygen cylinders to the Gaur based COVID-19 Hospital.
Spokesperson of the Rautahat Police Office, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Bharat Shrestha informed that 23 oxygen cylinders -- each of 7 and an half kilogram capacity -- were given to the COVID-19 Hospital.
Acting on a tip off, the District police had raided different locations including Gaur, Garuda, Chandrapur among other places in the district, and had managed to impound 43 oxygen cylinders of varied capacities.
Amid the rampant second wave of the COVID-19 crisis, at least 16 patients ailing with the highly contagious respiratory infection are currently receiving treatment at the COVID-19 Hospital in district headquarter Gaur, which was struggling with providing sufficient oxygen cylinders to service seekers.
