Police crackdown on home-made liquor in Chitwan

RATNANAGAR: The District Police Office (DPO) in Chitwan launched a campaign to control the production of home-made liquor in the district on Monday.

On the first day alone, the authorities destroyed almost 10,000 litres of domestic liquor along with raw materials used in manufacturing it, shared Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Deepak Shrestha at the DPO.

As many as 10 police units were mobilised in the district yesterday, confiscating and destroying a total of 7,630 litres of raw materials and 2,070 litres of liquor, according to DSP Shrestha,

The DPO launched the crackdown simultaneously in Bharatpur, Narayangarh, Chanauli, Gitanagar, Bhandara, Lothar Bhojad, Dibyanagar Bachyauli and Muglin area.
