Police find clue to Nepalgunj murder case

Nepalgunj, March 12:

Murderer/s made five persons unconscious while they were still in their bed and hacked them whith knives on Tuesday with a sole purpose of killing them, an initial police investigation over murder of five persons in Nepalgunj revealed.

All five persons were made unconscious after they went to the bed and two knives were used to slit their necks and the murder/s fled the scene from behind the house, the police investigation revealed.

Two knives and a pair of shoes were found at the incident site, the police said.

“Two boxes containing gold were open but nothing was found missing. This suggests that the intention of the murder was just to kill them and not loot property,” a police source said.

A sniffer dog deployed on the incident site, on the first day of the incident, followed a trail up to Bulbulaiya, south easter region of the municipality and on the second day it walked off up to Baale village near the border, the police source said.

The police source, however, did not comment further.

Deputy superintendent of police Basant Lama said the investigation is going on.
