Police open fire to control clash between left, democratic cadres in Rasuwa

RASUWA: A clash broke out between cadres of the left alliance and democratic alliance took a nasty turn in Rasuwa district on Thursday night forcing the police to open fire into the air.

The incident took place started in Kalikasthan area just a few hours ago before the silence period started.

The police had to fire 13 rounds of bullets into the air to disrupt the riot, said Chief District Officer Chomendra Neupane, adding that the situation returned to normalcy.  He said, a tight security has been maintained for the November 26 elections, he said.
