The communications sets of the district police office that were damaged by lightning some ten days ago have not been repaired yet. “The police posts in rural areas of the district have remained out of contact after the communication sets were damaged,” chief of the office Surya Prasad Upadhyaya said, adding that the sets couldn’t be repaired due to the lack of technicians in district headquarters Khandbari. Police offices in Nundhaki, Chainpur, Makalu and Mudheshanischare VDCs has remained out of contact with the non-functioning of the sets, police said. — HNS
