BARA: Police raided Amar Gas Udyog, situated near the Lalaka Bridge in Jitpur of Gadhimai Muncipality-5 along the Birgunj-Simara road section of Bara, on Saturday night on suspicion of hoarding cooking gas.

Police have impounded 80 full-filled sealed cylinders, a tractor and arrested three in connection to the case.

Police seized 20 gas cylinders loaded in the tractor (Na 4 Ta 1951) and its driver Sanjaya Patel (28) of Gadhimai Municipality while on its way to Birgunj.

Police have also rounded up Rabindra Das of Batanaha-4 of Saptari, a staffer at the gas plant and the company's owner Ghana Shyam Kayal of Birgunj Sub-Metropolitan City-8 after interrogating the driver.

Police further said the gas cylinders were hoarded as directed by Kayal.

Police said the suspects would be charged under the Black Marketing Act.

Further investigation is going on, added police.
