DHANKUTA: Office of Chief Returning Officer of Dhankuta has chosen its polling officers by lots.

As per office sources, as many as 306 returning officers and assistant returning officers to be deployed at 117 polling stations and 153 polling centres were chosen by lots.

“As it otherwise created unnecessary fuss about partiality regarding deployment, we resorted to drawing lots,” said Chief Returning Officer Binod Pokharel, adding that officers would be imparted training and sent to designated places with election materials.
