Polls sans resolution of Tarai problem will spell disaster: Sah

Rautahat, March 15

CPN-Maoist Centre Secretariat member Prabhu Sah today warned that the country would plunge into a grave disaster if the civic poll was held without settling the Madhes problem.

Speaking at a press meet organised at his residence in Rautahat headquarters Gaur, Sah warned, “The county will plunge into crisis if the civic poll is held without amending the statute and keeping the Madhesi parties outside the poll.” Sah said that Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal was active in settling the Tarai problem and bringing the Madhesi forces on board for elections.

Sah, who is also lawmaker from Rautahat Constituency No 3, warned some ministers in the government not to air remarks against the statute amendment bill registered in the Parliament.

Sah said he was stunned by the decision of the  Rautahat District Court judge to free land mafioso held by police. He said that the judge’s decision to release land mafioso on bail amount had raised question on the judiciary system.

Sah said it was erroneous to release land mafioso Surendra Ray Yadav and Nawal Kishor Yadav on general date.
