BIRATNAGAR:

Life in some districts in the eastern region has been affected due to lack of power supply.

The Mechi, Koshi and Sagarmatha zones are facing load-shedding from 6 pm to 10 pm daily because the Kataiya Electricity Grid in Farbijgunj of India has reduced electricity supply by 18 MW daily to Nepal, said an official at the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) office in Biratnagar.

Niranjan Adhikari, an engineer of the Duhabi Grid said: “The problem occurred from the Indian side, from where we have been purchasing electricity .”
