Prachanda Mr prez? No way, says Nepal

Rautahat, March 10:

CPN-UML general secretary Madhav Kumar Nepal today called Maoist supremo Prachanda to forget the dream of becoming the first president of the country, saying that the constituent assembly polls are being held to draft a constitution for a new Nepal.

Nepal was addressing an election assembly organised by the CPN-UML in Santapur of Rautahat district. Only the CPN-UML can solve problems that have been plaguing the country, he said.

Stating that lawlessness, chaos and corruption are simmering in the Nepali Congress-led government, Nepal urged the Nepalis to vote for the CPN-UML.

The CPN-UML is for federalism and good governance, he said, adding, “The CPN-UML aims to end unemployment.”

Though the Nepali Congress has won elections five times, it has failed to sacrifice selfishness, he said, claiming that the Nepalis will make the CPN-UML victorious in polls this time. The CPN-UML is ready to make sacrifices for the nation, he said.
