Prachanda speaks of foreign powers’ meet to abort polls
Rupandehi, February 8:
Maoists chairman Prachanda today said that he got information today that three foreign powers held a tripartite meeting to discuss the feasibility of mobilising the Nepal Army and the slant of their discussions was totally against the Maoists,” said Prachanda. Prachanda also alleged that until and unless those three foreign powers reached consensus and gave the go-ahead, the CA polls would not held. He claimed that he had all authentic information and data about the details of the tripartite meeting,He said too many questions are being raised about the April 10 constituent assembly polls. He said this during the 34th acceptance of office ceremony of Butwal Jaycees’ elected office-bearers in Butwal. Prachanda reiterated that the CPN-Maoist is committed to holding the CA polls on April 10 and would also declare its poll manifesto in a few days. The manifesto would concentrate on industrial revolution in Nepal, he added.
Regretting the attack allegedly by Maoist cadres on Nepali Congress leader Dilendra Badu in Darchula a few days ago, Prachanda said that the leaders of the CPN-Maoist would meet with those of the NC to reach an understanding in order to ensure that such incidents are not repeated in future.
