Preliminary agreement to keep nine local units in Bhojpur

BHOJPUR: A preliminary agreement was reached to keep nine local units in Bhojpur district of eastern Nepal.

An all-party primary discussion was held in line with the recent circular of Local Body Restructuring Commission that called for the establishment of 5-9 local units, informed Local Development Officer  (LDO) Bhanu Bhakta Neupane.

LDO Neupane further noted that the final decision on the number of local units would be reached after discussing on the issue of boundary demarcation by November 5.

It has been learned that the final decision would be made on mutual understanding as there is no big apparent dispute among the political parties in the district on restructuring.

Earlier, the political parties here had been demanding 13 local units in the district.
