Preparation for Xi’s visit has begun: Wang

KATHMANDU: Visiting Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Monday that preparations for Chinese President Xi Jinping’s Nepal visit had begun and that the visit would take place soon.

Wang said so during his courtesy meeting with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Monday afternoon, according to Oli’s Foreign Affairs Adviser Rajan Bhattarai.

President Xi is expected to visit Nepal in mid-October on his way back home from his visit to India where he will hold the second India-China informal summit with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi from October 11 to 13.
