BIRENDRANAGAR: The preparations are in full swing to hold the historic first meeting of the Provincial Assembly in Province 6. The meeting scheduled for Sunday will be held at the meeting hall of Irrigation Division Office in Birendranagar.

The employees are faring hectic schedule, so that no stone would be left unturned for holding the meeting.

From arranging chairs to interior decoration, the employees are involved in meticulous preparation. "Rehearsal of the assembly to meet under the chairmanship of senior most member of the Assembly Him Bahadur Shahi is conducted today," informed Secretary at Provincial Parliament Secretariat, Krishna Hari Khadka.

Similarly, the all-party meeting has readied the work schedule for the Sunday meeting of the Assembly, said member Sita Nepali. As per the schedule, a letter from the Province Chief would be read out; tribute to martyrs paid and speech given by each member of the party in the parliament given to the meeting to begin at 1:00pm. After preparation of the interim work procedure, date for the election of Speaker would be fixed.

The journalists are provided identity card and requested to come in decent dress. "We've not said it a formal dress but decent one," informed Secretary Khadka.

There are 40 members in Province No 6- 20 from CPN (UML), 13 from CPN (Maoist Centre), six from NC and one from RPP.
