Preparations to welcome UP CM Adityanath in full swing

JANAKPURDHAM: City authorities have stepped up preparations to welcome Chief Minister of Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath at Janaki Temple in Janakpurdham on Bibaha Panchami festival commemorating Lord Ram Chandra and princess Sita’s wedding.

Even the main opposition party Nepali Congress leaders who had earlier denounced Yogi’s visit citing possibility of political instability are now eager to welcome the UP state head and his entourage.

“We will welcome all who arrive as wedding party,” NC Vice President Bimalendra Nidhi said. “We were never against Yogi’s visit. We had reservations on reports announcing Yogi’s plan to inaugurate the railway.”

NC’s Dhanusha chapter has issued a notice to cadres to step up efforts to welcome the Indian state Chief Minister.

Yogi is expected to land at Janakpur Airport from Lucknow in a chartered plane and head to Janaki Temple, Deputy Inspector General Hari Bahadur Pal informed.

Following an event at Janaki Temple, UP CM Yogi will participate in a brunch at Madhesh Building and head to Bara Bigah Ground to attend Ram-Janaki wedding ceremony and then head back to Lucknow.

As preparations gather pace, welcome gates have been placed at Janaki Temple, Bara Bigah Ground, and Province Secretariat Building. Moreover, Nepal Army personnel, police and local representatives along with activists are undertaking city cleaning efforts.
