President Bhandari for educational institutions to provide job-oriented education

BIRATNAGAR: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has stressed the need for educational institutions to adopt and provide job-oriented education to produce qualified human resources in the country.

Inaugurating a programme held to celebrate the Silver Jubilee of Sukuna Multiple Campus in Morang, the President praised the progress made by the college.

In a different context, President Bhandari pointed out the need for making the President Chure Conservation Programme more effective and said the preservation of watersheds in the area would protect environment.

Suggesting that a modern technology should be adopted to grow and increase the production of crops and other farming like tea, cardamom, and broom grasses, President Bhandari underscored the need for expediting the Postal Highway.

Touching on the May 14 local level elections, President Bhandari viewed that an environment free of fear should be created for voters to cast their ballots.

Other speakers-CPN-UML General Secretary Ishwar Pokharel and Nepali Congress leader Sujata Koirala- stressed the need for concluding the polls successfully to make the country prosperous economically.
