KATHMANDU: The Election Commission on Thursday published the final list of presidential candidates.

The candidates are President Bidhya Devi Bhandari and Nepali Congress leader Kumari Laxmi Rai. EC Spokesperson Navaraj Dhakal said the EC did not receive any complaint against Bhandari and Rai.

The poll panel had given time for lodging complaints against presidential candidates by 2:00pm on Thursday.

Spokesperson Dhakal said no candidate withdrew their candidacy and no complaints were registered. The election for the presidential post will be held on March 13 between 10:00am and 3:00pm.

In case none of the candidates garner over 50 per cent votes, the EC will again hold the election by announcing another date.
