President Bidya Devi Bhandari's India visit itinerary made public
KATHMANDU: The Minister of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday made public the itinerary of President Bidya Devi Bhandari's India visit beginning on April 17.
According to a MoFA statement issued today, the President would land in New Delhi upon the invitation of her Indian counterpart Pranab Mukherjee on April 17 and stay at the Rashtrapati Bhawan as a state guest.
Other programmes during the visit include:
Attend the reception hosted by Nepal's Ambassador to India, Deep Kumar Upadhyay
Attend the Ceremonial Reception and inspect a Guard of Honour at the Rashtrapati Bhavan
Pay homage to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat and visit Yamuna Biodiversity Park
Pay a call on Indian President Mukherjee and attend a Banquet hosted by him
Receive the call from Indian Vice-President Mohammad Hamid Ansari, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and senior Cabinet members
Visit Gujarat and Odisha
The President will return home on April 21.
It would be the President's first foreign visit after assuming the high office in October 2015.
