KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 11
President Ramchandra Paudel administered the oath of office and secrecy to Surendra Labh Karna, the newly appointed Province Chief of Madhes Province, at a special ceremony held at the Office of the President, Shital Niwas, today.
The ceremony was attended by Vice President Ramsahay Prasad Yadav, Prime Minister Sushila Karki, Speaker Devraj Ghimire, along with ministers and the heads and officials of constitutional bodies.
The Council of Ministers, in its meeting on Monday, had recommended the name of Karna of Dhanusha to the President for appointment as the Chief of Madhes Province.
