President Bhandari to visit Jumla today

JUMLA: President Bidya Devi Bhandari will be visiting Jumla today to inaugurate a building of the Chandannath Secondary School.

“The President is scheduled to arrive on a Nepal Army helicopter at 9.30 am,” said the Principal of Chandannath Secondary School, Tanka Bahadur Mahat.

The President will first visit the Chandannath and Bhairavnath temples to pay homage to the deities.

The Head-of-State will then inaugurate the science laboratory building of the school at 10.30 am, according to Mahat.

She will also visit the Mountain Agriculture Research Institute (MARI) and the Guthichaur sheep and goat research farm, horticulture development research and agricultural research centre run by MARI.

President Bhandari will also observe an exhibition of the activities carried out so far by MARI, Director of MARI, Netrahari Ghimire, said.

The security has been beefed up in Jumla in view of the President's visit, according to the Acting Chief District Officer, Tek Bahadur Budhthapa.

He said the President will be busy in programmes in Jumla only for about two and half hours.
