President visits native village

Sapahi, September 24:

President Dr Ram Baran Yadav was accorded a warm welcome today when he visited his birthplace in Sapahi-9 for the first time after being elected as the President of Nepal.

Large number of people turned up to welcome Dr Yadav by offering garlands and greetings.

Ramarati Devi, aunt of the President, expressed happiness at seeing her nephew for the first time after becoming the President. “My nephew has become a great man. I am very happy for his success,” she said.

NC Constituent Assembly member Mahendra Yadav expressed his happiness at getting the opportunity to welcome the President at his birthplace BP Kendra, a Sapahi-based organisation, felicitated the President today. Dr Yadav had once worked as the chairman of the Kendra.

The Dhanusha DDC had gravelled the one kilometre long road stretching from Nikal to Sapahi just a week ahead of the President’s

visit.
