President's recipe for republic, peace
SYNAGJA: President Dr Ram Baran Yadav today emphasised on the need of consensus, cooperation and unity among political parties for the institutionalisation of republic and logical conclusion to the historic peace process.
While inaugurating the building of Patanjali Yogapith and Aayurvedic Hospital at Waling, President Yadav said that religious and cultural harmony plays crucial role to heal and rebuild the nation ravaged by conflicts. He also urged all the stakeholders including political parties and civil society members to work in tandem for upholding sovereignty, national unity, territorial integrity and prosperity by relinquishing all past disagreements, differences and disputes.
Stating that religious, ethnic and cultural unity was essential for strengthening democracy and republic, President Yadav claimed that Hindu religion had been at the centre of all other religions in Nepal.
In the programme, yoga guru Swami Ramdev opined that change could be brought about in Nepal provided the youths, land and herbs be utilised appropriately. With an Indian assistance of Rs 22.5 million the building is constructed at Waling Municipality-3.
Earlier, UCPN-Maoist cadres had greeted President Yadav with black flags when he was on his way to the inauguration ceremony. They were demanding President’s resignation.
