Ram Prasad Bhandari appointed as Judicial Council member

President Bidya Devi Bhandari has appointed officials of different constitutional bodies on recommendation of the Constitutional Council.

According to the Statement issued by the President's Office, Hari Paudel and Sumitra Shrestha have been appointed as commissioner at the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA).

Similarly, Madhav Prasad Regmi has been appointed Chair of the Public Service Commission while Madhavi Belbase, Bir Bahadur Rai, Dinesh Silwal and Manju Kumari have been appointed as members of the PSC.

Likewise, Sagun Shamsher JBR has been appointed the Election Commissioner at the Election Commission of Nepal.

Additionally, Bipin Raj Niraula has been designated a member of the National Natural Resources and Fiscal Commission, Jaya Ghimire and Sabitra Kumari Sharma as members of National Women Commission.

Furthermore, Ram Krishna Timalsena has been appointed as chair and Pushpa Raj Timalsina, Man Prasad Khatri as members of the National Inclusion Commission. Surya Bahadur Gurung a member of the Indigenous Nationalities Commission.

Abha Kumari has been appointed as member of Madhesi Commission, Uma Shankar Prasad Chaudary and Shanti Modi as members of Tharu Commission and Mohammad Samshul Huq as a member of the Muslim Commission.

Meanwhile, President Bhandari also appointed Ram Prasad Bhandari as a member of the Judicial Council.

Senior advocate Bhandari, who hails from Khaiyapani-9 of Ramechhap was appointed on the recommendation of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

President Bhandari made the appointments in accordance with Article 153(1Gha) of the Constitution of Nepal.
